A Kent football team is to receive a community grant in memory of a young player killed when he was hit by a bus.
Matthew Hobbs, 11, from Dartford, played for local team Fleetdown United, but died last month after an accident in Princes Road on his way to school.
He was a member of the under-12s team, and his goalkeeper's shirt was one of the tributes left at the scene.
Dartford Borough Council said the £2,000 community grant would be awarded to the club in his memory.
The council said the grant was one in a series offered to local community, sport and voluntary groups that support positive activities across the borough.
Matthew Hobbs, who was a Year 7 pupil at Wilmington Grammar School, died at the scene of the accident on 9 January after he was struck by a Fastrack bus.
His family later paid tribute to their "irreplaceable" boy.
